Practice overview:
Faye joined Cathedral Chambers as a tenant in July 2018 following successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Sheila Radcliffe.
Faye has developed a busy family practice and accepts instructions in private law and public law.
In public law proceedings, Faye acts for Local Authorities, parents, Guardians and other intervening parties from the initial stages of proceedings, through to contested Final Hearings. Faye has a friendly and sensitive approach yet offers practical and robust advice to her clients. Faye deals with cases involving child neglect, physical abuse and sexual harm as well as cases involving non-accidental injury. Faye also conducts cases within adoption proceedings.
Faye is also regularly instructed in private law matters including Section 8 applications, enforcement proceedings and injunctions. Faye acts on behalf of applicants, respondents and appointed Guardians, through each stage of the proceedings including Finding of Fact Hearings and contested Final Hearings.
Prior to obtaining pupillage, Faye obtained her law degree at the University of Surrey, where she completed a placement year as part of her undergraduate studies. During this placement year, she worked as a Junior Clerk’s Assistant at a specialist family law set in South East England. Faye then went on to complete the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Manchester, before working as a paralegal within the litigation department of a large regional law firm in the North West.
